贵州五彩黔艺民族服饰博物馆

五彩黔艺民族服饰博物馆,建馆于2015年11月,是以中国西南少数民族服饰为主题的民办公助公益性博物馆。“五彩”,源自古时衣裳“赤、青、黄、黑、白”五种基本色彩;“黔艺”,突出了馆藏精品是以贵州少数民族服饰为主。博物馆主要从事与西南少数民族服饰有关的收藏展示、交流推广、传承创意、参观体验、科研教学等工作,旨保护、抢救和发掘贵州多彩而独特的民族服饰,为守护少数民族服饰文化,传承服饰非物质文化遗产,促进中国服饰文化交流,推动中华优秀传统文化创造性转化、创新性发展而贡献力量。

博物馆新馆位于贵阳市职业技术学院实训楼A馆四楼,现有展厅面积2500平方米,设有固定展区、临展区、文创展销区、多功能厅、文化交流中心、工艺传习馆。博物馆收藏了西南地区,特别是贵州少数民族代表性的服饰、配饰及生产工具、生活实物等数万件,共有苗族、侗族、布依族、瑶族、水族、黎族等各少数民族多支系的精美服饰3000余套、精品背扇2000余张、精美绣片20000余张。其中,贵州施洞苗族破线绣盛装、榕江苗族百鸟衣、丹寨八寨苗服饰、云南麻栗坡彝族服饰、湖南江华瑶族服饰、四川古蔺苗族等相当部分藏品具有文物价值。五彩黔艺民族服饰博物馆,先后向中国国家博物馆捐赠贵州少数民族服饰藏品共计28套,向联合国教科文组织驻华代表处捐赠贵州少数民族绣片10张。

博物馆开馆以来,一直恪守赓续民族文化的情怀,坚持公益性质,积极服务地方、服务社会、服务国家。充分利用博物馆经典藏品先后在北京、上海、杭州、广州等国内城市举办展览,参与央视纪录片《女红》节目拍摄,和央视著名主持人海霞录制《说衣解字》节目。受邀参加联合国教科文组织非遗展览活动,并在国外墨西哥、捷克、丹麦、巴西、哥伦比亚、马耳他等20多个国家展览数十次。博物馆开馆以来,共接待国内外观众上百万人次。在学术研究成果方面,出版了《五彩黔艺话生肖》《盛装里的多彩贵州》等著述以及学术论文,产生了较为广泛社会影响力与学术界的认同。中华全国总工会党组书记、副主席陈刚(时任贵州省委常委、贵阳市委书记),卢雍政、胡忠雄、赵德明等贵州省领导,杨澜、杨威、劳伦斯·许等社会知名人士,以及老挝副总理本通·吉马尼、泰国副总理巴津夫人、加拿大本拿比市市长柯瑞根、柬埔寨王国昆明总领事副领事宋斯帕娜等中外政要等外国领导人都曾莅临视察参观。

博物馆目前是“贵州省十佳非国有博物馆”,兼有贵阳职业学院实训基地功能,免费向社会开放。被中华全国归国华侨联合会授予“中国华侨国际文化交流基地”,贵州省文化厅授予“省级非物质文化遗产生产性保护示范基地”,贵州省民宗委、贵州省文联授予“贵州少数民族传统手工艺传习所”,贵州省妇女联合会授予“智慧锦绣·贵州省妇女特色手工文化传承基地”,中共贵阳市委统战部授予“贵阳市民族文化交流示范点”,贵阳市教育局、文旅局评为“贵阳市中小学生研学旅行基地”,贵阳市观山湖区授予“观山湖区非物质文化遗产传习所”。2021年,馆长被授予中国纺织非遗苗绣推广大使的荣誉称号。

五彩黔艺民族服饰博物馆,从涉足万里的村寨征集各类民族服饰,到建馆收藏与陈列展示精美的民族服饰;从贵州地域性展览民族服饰,到全国许多城市巡展民族服饰;以及到联合国及世界各地展览民族服饰;从展览与传播民族服饰,到民族服饰文化的学术研究,历经数年积累、探索与耕耘。其中最浓厚的一笔是2018年有幸到清华大学贾京生教授亲自指导,为五彩黔艺民族服饰博物馆走上规范的学术道路打下坚实的基础。博物馆将坚持走一条有别于其他同类博物馆的道路,并不断探索民族博物馆的个性化,坚守以田野调查一手资料为基石,加强团队学术研究能力,在守护与存留下民族文化基因的同时,进一步加强传承和保护西南少数民族服饰的工作。

Guizhou Multicolor Art and National Costume MuseumIntroduction

Built in November 2015, Multicolor Art and National Costume Museum is a non-governmental public welfare museum with the theme of costumes of ethnic groups living in southwest of China. "Multicolor" originates from the five basic colors of clothes in ancient times: "red, green, yellow, black and white". “Art (of Guizhou)” highlights that the boutiques in the collection are mainly costumes of ethnic groups living in Guizhou.The museum is mainly engaged in the collection and display, exchange and promotion, inheritance and innovation, visiting and experience, scientific research and teaching related to the costumes of ethnic groups living in southwest of China. It aims to protect, rescue and explore the colorful and unique national costumes of Guizhou, and contribute to safeguarding the costume culture of ethnic groups, inheriting the intangible cultural heritage of costumes, advancing the exchange of Chinese costume culture, and promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent Chinese traditional culture.

The new exhibition hall of the museum is located on the fourth floor of the Training Building A of Guiyang Vocational and Technical College. It covers an area of 2500 square meters, with a fixed exhibition area, a temporary exhibition area, a cultural and creative exhibition and marketing area, a multi-function hall, a cultural exchange center, and a craft transmission hall. The museum has collected tens of thousands of representative costumes, accessories, production tools, and living objects of ethnic groups living in southwest of China, especially in Guizhou. There are more than 3000 sets of fine costumes, more than 2000 fine baby carriers, and more than 20,000 fine embroidery pieces of Miao, Dong, Buyi, Yao, Shui, Li and other ethnic groups. Miao nationality’s festival costumes in thread-splitting stitch in Shidong county,Miao nationality’scostumes (Hundred-bird Coats) in Rongjiang, Miao nationality’s costumes and ornaments in Bazhai of Dan village, Yi nationality’s costumes in Masupo of Yunnan province, Yao nationality’s costumes in Jianghua of Hunan province, Miao nationality’s costumes of Gulin of Sichuan Province, and many other collections have value of  cultural relics. The museum has donated 28 costume sets of ethnic groups living in Guizhou to National Museum of China and 10 pieces of embroidery of ethnic groups in Guizhou to UNESCO Beijing Office.

Since its opening, the museum has always adhered to the feelings of continuing national culture, persisted in the nature of public welfare, and actively committed to serving the local area, society and country. The museum has made full use of its classic collections to hold dozens of exhibitions in many domestic cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou. It participated in the shooting of the CCTV documentary "Nu Gong" (Needlework) program, and recorded the program "Shuo Yi Jie Zi" (Origins of Chinese Costumes) with the famous CCTV host Hai Xia. It has been invited to participate in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition, and held dozens of exhibitions in more than 20 countries, including Mexico, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Brazil, Colombia, Malta and so on. Since its opening, the museum has received millions of visitors from home and abroad. In terms of academic research achievements, the founder of the museum has published books such as “Talking about Zodiac by Multicolor Art and National Costume Museum” and “Colorful Guizhou in Festival Costumes”, and a few academic papers, which have produced a relatively wide range of social influence and received academic recognition. The museum has received many visitors, including many government officials, such as Sun Zhigang, former secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, Chen Gang, Secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress (the then-member of the Standing Committee of Guizhou Provincial Committee of CPC and secretary of Guiyang Committee of CPC , Lu Yongzheng, Hu Zhongxiong, Zhao Deming and other leaders of Guizhou province, some social celebrities, like Yang Lan, Yang Wei, Lawrence Xu, as well as other foreign leaders, such as Bounthong Chitmany, the Deputy Prime Minister of Laos, Mrs. Prajin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Derek Corriga, the Mayor of Burnaby of Canada, and Songsipana, the Deputy Consul General of Consulate General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Kunming. 

At present, the museum is one of the "top ten non-state-owned museums in Guizhou Province", which also serves as a training base of Guiyang Vocational College and is open to the public free of charge. The museum was awarded the "Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Base" by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the "Provincial Demonstration Base for the Productive Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage" by Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture, the "Guizhou Training School of Traditional Handicraft of Ethnic Groups" by Guizhou Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission and Guizhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the "Wisdom and Splendid · Guizhou Women's distinctive Handicraft Cultural Heritage Base" by Guizhou Women's Federation, the "Demonstration Site of National Cultural Exchange in Guiyang City" by the United Front Work Department of the Guiyang Committee of the Communist Party of China, the "Research Travel Base for Primary and Middle School Students in Guiyang City" by the Education Bureau and the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Guiyang City, and the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Training School in Guanshanhu District" by Guanshanhu District of Guiyang City. In 2021, the curator was awarded the honorary title of Ambassador for Promotion of Miao Embroidery, an Intangible Textile Cultural Heritage of China

The museum has accumulated, explored and cultivated for several years from collection of various national costumes from villages with thousands of miles travelling to display of the exquisite national costumes,from the regional exhibition of national costumes in Guizhou to the tour exhibition in many cities across the country, even to the United Nations and some places around the world, from exhibition and promotion of national costumes to academic research of national costume culture. Among them, the most significant one is the personal guidance by Professor Jia Jingsheng of Tsinghua University in 2018, which laid a solid foundation for the museum to embark on a standardized academic path. The museum sticks to a road different from other similar museums, and constantly explores the personalization of national museums,insists on taking first-hand data of field survey as the cornerstone, strengthens the team's academic research ability, and further strengthens the inheritance and protection of national costumes in southwest of China while protecting and preserving the ethnic cultural genes.
